I have always loved Sammy's mother, Sera. Thus I was
thrilled when Jean agreed to let me have this boy from her first litter. Sammy has done
very well in his young show career. He took 3rd in a large 6-9 Puppy Dog Sweeps Class and
2nd in the 6-9 Puppy Dog Class at the Baltimore Sheltie Specialty show in his first
outing. The following week, Sammy made the cut at the National in 6-9 Sable Dogs and was
put in 5th place. A month later, he took his first point from the 6-9 Puppy Dog Class at
the Wilmington Kennel Club Show, as well as several RWD's..
Sammy started raking in his points as an
adult in grand fashion, taking Winner's Dog at Interstate Specialty show
for a 4 point major. He then won two more majors with handler Julie Desy in
2002, to finish the year with 13 points and 3 majors. He took Winner's Dog
on his first two outings in 2003 to complete his AKC Championship!
